Collagen is a structural protein that makes up almost 30% of the body's protein. Collagen is a key protein in the body. Peptan is a type 1 collagen, which is also found in human bones and skin. Peptan is a highly pure, bioactive natural product with a protein content of more than 97% (dry weight), offered here in soluble form. Peptan contains 20 different amino acids, including 8 of the 9 essential amino acids.
Its special properties are based on the predominance of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, which together account for approximately 50% of the total amino acid content.
